Cooking is social, and so is BigOven.
It’s optional, but if you link your Facebook account to BigOven (which you can do either when you join or after you’ve joined), BigOven will let you know when your Facebook friends join.
This makes it easy to share recipe ideas, request a favorite recipe from a friend, and discover each other’s favorites and try soons. In the near future, we’ll be surfacing for you when your Facebook friends post new recipes, rate recipes, and more.
As part of that, today, we released a page where you can see which of your Facebook friends are on BigOven, at www.bigoven.com/account/facebookfriends
When you visit that page, you’ll see a screen like the below. It shows you a list of those Facebook friends that you have which have linked their BigOven and Facebook accounts:
If you’d like to invite a Facebook friend to BigOven, just click on one of your friends. You’ll see an invitation link pop up, which you can customize before placing it on their wall:
When your Facebook friend joins BigOven, you’ll get an email that says your friend has joined, giving you a link to their BigOven page, where you can post a great recipe to share.
